I’m Russ West. I make useable wooden art using traditional tools and locally sourced, sustainable wood in West London.

Since the beginning of 2019, I have cultivated skills focused on greenwood crafts. Guided by Scandinavian Slöjd, my work pursues  functional beauty.

Beyond my own making, I also help others find enjoyment through crafts. I run courses at a woodland workshop at Horsenden Hill Farm in Perivale, and support other course leaders to do the same. I also exhibit at craft events across the UK, selling my makes and demonstrating my craft.
